2019 Season Opening

Our 2019 Season started on April 27th Saturday.
Few members joined in, even though it was a chilly day.
We were able to do the following:
  • De cluttered the garden shed. Took inventory of tools and supplies
  • Cleared old plant materials from each bed.
  • Started to remove fall leaves from each bed and Kari, former Chair, found a few earth worms hurriedly burying under to escape from the sunlight and the cold. One was almost 6" long and quiet fat too by eating all decomposing leaves and turning them in to fertilizer for our garden. So we decided to stop removing the leaves for the time being, till closer to planting.
Due to the unfavourable weather we had to curtail the opening activities. We hope to gather again this Saturday at 3 pm to continue the scheduled tasks.
